So you have entered the complicated but beautiful world of weddings. You have always been invited, have enjoyed yourself as a guest and maybe even shed tear or too. And here you are, happily engaged and ready to plan your own special moment and it hits you;
OMG, what music do I need for the entrance? Do I pick live music? What do people even use for the entrance? What is the name of the songs that the bride marches to?
Don't stress, Here are 3 classical pieces for a traditional wedding ceremony:
- "Bridal Chorus"- composed by Richard Wagner.
A march played for the entrance of the Bride in the wedding ceremony. A very popular choice for brides all around the world. - "Wedding March" - composed by Felix Mendelssohn.
One of the most frequently used wedding marches. This marched usually is used at the end of the ceremony as well, for the bride and groom to march together. - "Canon in D"- composed by Johann Pachelbel.
One my favorites and another popular piece used for the processional. Many brides want a more relaxed ambience when entering the chapel. This is a great choice, if you want to walk down the aisle harmoniously.
Here is a Music Sample of me playing this beautiful piece:
